3D-Printed Beam-Switching Dielectric Resonator Antenna with an Integrated Polarizer
A fully 3D-printed dual-port dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is presented. It employs an integrated polarizer to obtain right-hand circular polarization (RHCP) over $\theta= \pm 45^{\circ}$. The isolation is better than 30 dB by introducing a 3D-printed vertical metallic reflector, of width 1 mm, between the excitation ports. The proposed antenna has applications in satellite IoT (S-IoT) as well as 5G/6G beam-switching MIMO areas. The antenna operates in the S-band $(2 \mathrm{GHz}$ to 3 GHz). A 10 dB bandwidth of $61 \%$ was achieved in the range 1.72 GHz to 3.22 GHz. The peak gain at 45° was found to be 6.7 dBic with an axial ratio bandwidth of $51.76 \%$ (1.79 GHz to 3.04 GHz).
