AI in Bioelectromagnetics for the Assessment of Safety and Neurorestoration Strategies During Electrical Stimulation Therapies
To improve our understanding of the effects of electric stimulation, its true safety limits, and potential uses as a therapeutic in the nervous system, we utilize artificial intelligence (AI) in both experimental research and computational modeling. Experimental research is used to identify safety and efficacy trends between electrode designs, stimulation waveforms, and histological changes. Computational modeling research is used to explore potential mechanisms underlying those observed trends. Artificial intelligence is a crucial tool for analysis in both these experimental and modeling tasks.
