A Millimeter-wave Phased Array Antenna with Subarrays for Indoor Applications
Millimeter-wave (mmWave) technology was first introduced by 5G for high-capacity and low-latency communication and phased array antenna modules (PAAMs) are widely used for this purpose [1]. Subarrays are generally applied for enhancing the antenna gain and hence decreasing the power consumption. On one hand, indoor is an important area to be covered by mmWave [2] and the antenna modules used there should have different radiation performance with that for general outdoor applications. Subarrays can be applied for this purpose too. In this paper, we introduce a subarray-based mmWave phased array antenna for indoor applications.
