CP Beam-Steerable Metaline Antenna System

A single metaline antenna radiates a beam whose direction is frequency-dependent, i.e., the radiation beam cannot be steered at a fixed operating frequency. This paper resolves the frequency-dependent beam issue by proposing an antenna system composed of multiple metaline antennas. A design process is presented for a circularly polarized (CP) beam that can be steered in the elevation plane at a fixed operating frequency.

Abstract

A single metaline antenna radiates a beam whose direction is frequency-dependent, i.e., the radiation beam cannot be steered at a fixed operating frequency. This paper resolves the frequency-dependent beam issue by proposing an antenna system composed of multiple metaline antennas. A design process is presented for a circularly polarized (CP) beam that can be steered in the elevation plane at a fixed operating frequency.
