An Efficient GPU Acceleration Scheme for Solving Electromagnetic Problems with Moderate Scales
This paper presents an efficient graphic processing unit (GPU) acceleration scheme for solving electromagnetic (EM) problems governed by integral equations. The conducting targets are considered and the electric field integral equation (EFIE) is used to formulate the problems. The EFIE is discretized by the method of moments (MoM) and the resultant matrix equation is solved by the proposed GPU acceleration scheme under constrained computational resources. A numerical example regarding EM scattering by an airplane model is provided to demonstrate the scheme and the speedup up to 19.49 times is achieved.
