Comparative Study of 5G and Wi-Fi Private Networks: A Case Study
With the advent of Industry 4.0 and the ongoing digital transformation, telecommunications technologies are playing an ever-expanding role in reshaping industrial systems. Within this context, private networks have proven to be a highly attractive solution due to their strong performance in features such as control over network infrastructure, latency, throughput, jitter, reliability, availability, security, scalability and quality of Service (QoS). Considering the technical characteristics of Wi-Fi and 5G technologies, they appear to be potentially suitable solutions to meet these demands.
