Physics-compliant modeling and estimation of RIS-parametrized wireless channels

In this talk, we review our recent efforts to formulate, calibrate and leverage compact physics-compliant models of wave scattering in arbitrarily complex linear systems parametrized by programmable metasurfaces (also known as reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, RISs). RISs are foreseen to enable the paradigm shift toward smart radio environments.

Abstract

In this talk, we review our recent efforts to formulate, calibrate and leverage compact physics-compliant models of wave scattering in arbitrarily complex linear systems parametrized by programmable metasurfaces (also known as reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, RISs). RISs are foreseen to enable the paradigm shift toward smart radio environments.
