Field Coupling to Transmission Lines Terminated by Buck and Negative Impedance Circuits

The electromagnetics community has paid a great deal of attention to field coupling to transmission lines. The transmission line models may be complex, but these models usually have linear terminations. Simulating the coupling of fields into real systems requires the application of active and nonlinear terminations. We will use an object – oriented, cyber – physical technique based on the Modelica language to improve run time and to better integrate the coupling to transmission – line networks into system simulations. The RF effects simulation methods are appropriate to all types of electromagnetic coupling including electronic warfare, electromagnetic compatibility/interference and lightning.

Abstract

The electromagnetics community has paid a great deal of attention to field coupling to transmission lines. The transmission line models may be complex, but these models usually have linear terminations. Simulating the coupling of fields into real systems requires the application of active and nonlinear terminations. We will use an object – oriented, cyber – physical technique based on the Modelica language to improve run time and to better integrate the coupling to transmission – line networks into system simulations. The RF effects simulation methods are appropriate to all types of electromagnetic coupling including electronic warfare, electromagnetic compatibility/interference and lightning.
