Design and Measurements of a Prototype Quadruple-Ridged Flared Horn for the ngVLA Radio Telescope
The Next Generation Very Large Array (ngVLA), a project of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), is a new radio astronomy interferometer consisting of approximately 244 shaped offset Gregorian dual reflector antennas each with an 18-meter aperture diameter and an additional 19 antennas in the core with 6-meter aperture diameter. The instrument will be built on the Plains of San Agustin in New Mexico, U.S.A. [1]. The details of the reflector antenna design are given in [2].
