Monostatic RCS in a large number of directions: Feasibility study

Full wave analysis of scatterers in the frequency domain can be effectively done by the Method of Moments (MoM) applied to the Surface Integral Equations (SIEs) [1, 2]. In this way, the electric and magnetic currents induced over the scatterer surfaces, are expanded in terms of N basis functions multiplied by unknown coefficients (unknowns), and the linear operator equations, SIEs, are transformed into a matrix equation with N unknowns.

Abstract

Full wave analysis of scatterers in the frequency domain can be effectively done by the Method of Moments (MoM) applied to the Surface Integral Equations (SIEs) [1, 2]. In this way, the electric and magnetic currents induced over the scatterer surfaces, are expanded in terms of N basis functions multiplied by unknown coefficients (unknowns), and the linear operator equations, SIEs, are transformed into a matrix equation with N unknowns.
