Research on the regulation of single-layer graphene parameters by terahertz band electric field
In the advancement of terahertz (THz) wave technology, a shortage of tunable THz devices. Due to the excellent optical properties and tunable absorption characteristics of graphene in the THz waveband, it has emerged as one of the leading materials for controlling THz waves. In this paper, the regulation of the parameters of single-layer graphene by applying electric field in THz band was studied. The Fermi level, conductivity, refractive index and absorptivity of mono layer graphene were calculated and analyzed with applied voltage. As the external voltage increases from0 to 5V, graphene‘s Fermi level increases from 0 to 1.05eV; Both the conductivity and refractive index increased as the external voltage increases; the absorption rate elevates with higher external voltage, first increase and then decrease, when the external voltage is 0.59V, the absorption rate increases to 38%.
