Abstract

A novel dual-polarized dual magnetoelectric (ME) dipole antenna is proposed. It comprises composite patches of a metallic patch (MP) printed on the substrate and a metallic strips-loaded dielectric patch (DP). Benefits from the multimode characteristic of the DP, the fundamental TM</i>01 mode of it serves as a magnetic dipole (MD), the higher-order TE</i>12 mode of the DP acts as the electric dipole (ED), while the TM</i>10 mode of the MP equivalent to another ED.
