THE SYNTACTIC TYPOLOGY OF CONSTRUCTIONS WITH THE ADNOMINAL INSTRUMENTAL CASE WITH THE PREPOSITION WITH (“С”)

The complexity of the syntactic functioning of the adnominal instrumental case with the preposition with (“с”) is determined by the fact that in a sentence the adnominal instrumental case is always a syncretic member, combining the signs of a modi er and an object and, much less often, a modi er, object and adverbial. This article makes an attempt to classify the combination with the adnominal instrumental case with the preposition with (“с”) in phrases that are in a weak position associated with the partial neutralisation of oppositions, whose main component is represented by a non-verbal noun. Particular attention is paid to combinations in which the dependent component is represented by a proper name.
