Adsorption and Catalysis Effects of LaMnO3 Nanosheets for High‐Performance Li–S Batteries
In this article, an effective redox regulation strategy of Li–S batteries is illustrated by introducing a unique petal‐like LaMnO 3 nanosheet (LMO‐NS) into the sulfur cathode. It is found that the LMO‐NS with abundant active sites offers strong chemical affinity toward the sulfur species, which play key roles in immobilizing the produced polysulfides during charge/discharge operation and then accelerating their redox conversion. Consequently, the Li–S reaction kinetics is remarkably boosted and the polysulfide shuttle is greatly alleviated owing to the adsorption‐catalysis effects of the LMO‐NS, which endows the composite cathode with increased reversible capacity and improved cycle and rate capability.
