A unified approach for evaluation of the minimum circumscribed circle and maximum inscribed circle

Abstract A unified method is proposed for evaluating the minimum circumscribed circle and maximum inscribed circle. Three initial candidate points are selected, with a one-point operator and a two-point operator. The two-point operator is also used to select candidate points or determine redundant data points during iterations. Examples from the literature confirm the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed algorithm.
