Non-animals in Queertopia: Non-philosophy and the Queer Ecological Thought
Following François Laruelle, this article deals with a non-philosophical treatment of queer ecological thought. Rethinking queerness, animality, environment, and queer animality on these grounds requires a radical change in the framework approaching these questions. The non-philosophical treatment performs a sterilization of a particular structure of queer ecological thought identified as queertopia. Non-philosophy presumes unidirectionality of the radically immanent One, leading to the notion of radical wilderness. The non-philosophical One is also radically undecidable, unidirectionally moving thought-practice of queer ecology and queer animals into radical wilderness, where the a-sexed non-animals become figures of degrowth of queer ecological thought and collapse of the queertopia.
