The Role OfEducation In Social Mobility: A Comparative Study Across Socioeconomic Groups

The research employs a Cross-sectional method carried out between developed and developing countries to compare education and social mobility. This work developed national surveys and cross-sectional databases and employed interviews with educators and participants of diverse backgrounds. The implication drawn from the results analyzed in the study is that the rich benefit more from their education than do the poor because the latter endure barriers such as high cost and low-quality education. Education is known as the key to social opportunities; however, it is a key to social inequality. The results advance the policy agenda for education for disadvantaged populations proposing reductions in tuition, and scholarships, and expanding pre-educational and vocational education facilities. Last of all, one must get rid of all these systemizing culprits to ensure that education indeed becomes the social equalizer necessary to assist persons from all spheres of life to improve their standard of living. Thus, this study calls for a partnership between policymakers, educators, and communities to provide a social mobility-promoting educational environment.
