Effectiveness Analysis of Fuzzy Quasi-Optimal Control Laws for UAV Orientation in a Turbulent Atmosphere

Multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) function in different modes of flight, which justifies the relevance of using multi-mode control. When flying in a turbulent atmosphere, their control system must provide high-quality stabilization, but at the same time be simple enough for implementation due to limitations on weight and size characteristics. It is possible to increase the efficiency of control systems by using a combination of methods such as synthesis of a quasi-optimal control law and fuzzy logic inference. The results of mathematical modeling of the control of the angular position of a multirotor aircraft using the developed control family are presented.

Abstract

Multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) function in different modes of flight, which justifies the relevance of using multi-mode control. When flying in a turbulent atmosphere, their control system must provide high-quality stabilization, but at the same time be simple enough for implementation due to limitations on weight and size characteristics. It is possible to increase the efficiency of control systems by using a combination of methods such as synthesis of a quasi-optimal control law and fuzzy logic inference. The results of mathematical modeling of the control of the angular position of a multirotor aircraft using the developed control family are presented.
