Optimization of Technological Processes Based on the Directed Search Method Using Difference Coefficients

This work considers the problem to optimize technological processes via optimization of the material flows distribution. The possibility to solve the problem of optimizing material flows in technological processes between copies of the same types of resources while simultaneously eliminating several bottlenecks using the directional search method is demonstrated. It is proved that the unloading of bottlenecks must be carried out in proportion to the load differences, that is, using the difference coefficients calculated for each bottleneck. The ratio of the load difference of the considered bottleneck and its antipode to the maximum load difference among all identified bottlenecks is taken as such coefficient. Operations for step-by-step changes in the values of the routing matrix are proposed to reduce the load on bottlenecks. The simulation performed showed that the use of the directed search method using difference coefficients gives a gain in productivity, as well as a gain in costs and in the price of productivity. This proves the feasibility of using and the practical significance of the proposed approach.
