Algorithms of Internet of Things Systems for Ornithological Security Tasks
In modern conditions of intensive flights, when more than 120 thousand flights are performed daily and more than 12 million people are transported, ensuring flight safety remains a top priority for civil aviation. One of the significant problems is the prevention of aircraft collisions with birds, which leads to more than 5,000 incidents annually. This article discusses the use of wireless technologies and algorithms of Internet of Things systems to solve problems of ornithological security. The proposed radar interaction algorithm allows collecting data on the location of birds using multi-position radar methods and transmitting data for further processing to a cloud service. The use of a cloud platform makes it possible to increase the accuracy of determining the number of birds and their trajectory in different time periods and to carry out timely scaring during takeoff and landing of the aircraft. The paper tested an algorithm for a multi-position radar system, which consists of radars based on microwave rangefinders interacting with each other via MQTT-server. The experimental results showed a noticeable increase in accuracy and a decrease in the number of errors in determining the location of the target with an increase in the number of radar points. Cloud-based data postprocessing allows you to monitor the space in real time and collect the necessary information about the operation of the radar system. The data obtained in the course of the work contribute to the automation of airspace control and increase the level of safety in civil aviation.
