Doubled Power Brushless Monopolar Generator
The article describes the design of a monopolar generator with improved dimensions and doubled output power. The proposed design can be used in wind turbines, power plants and superconductivity applications due to the stator location of both the field and armature windings. This arrangement of the electric machine eliminates mechanical brushes from the design, and the rotor is made of steel without coils or magnets. The design of the generator is simple and suitable for mass production in industry. It can also be easily used in powerful megawatt-class generators and wind turbines. The novelty of the work lies in the design features of the generator as a whole, namely, the proportions of the toothed zone of the stator and rotor. Only the configuration proposed by the authors gives a symmetrical three-phase voltage at the output, and any change in the rotor or stator embrasure, as well as the number of stator and rotor teeth, violates the symmetry.
