Investigation of Device for Sampling Soil with Undisturbed Structure
Currently, hand-held soil samplers are widely used. Soil sampling is characterized by high labor costs. With high density soils, this process can be seriously hindered or impossible without electromechanization means causing possible intake device jamming during the soil sampling process. An effective solution is the use of electric sampling drills of various designs. However, a significant disadvantage of such samplers is a violation of the soil structure during well drilling and sample extraction when opening the intake pipe. The article proposes a special design of a sampler for the soil with undisturbed structure powered by an autonomous generator through a frequency converter, which will allow forming a certain law of frequency and voltage regulation at the terminals of the electric motor to preserve the integrity of the sample and reduce energy consumption. During the sampler development, the studies of mechanical resistances during soil drilling and sampling for agricultural surveys were carried out. This will make it possible to classify soils according to mechanical characteristics for the electric drive of samplers. The designed experimental stand will allow studying the electromechanical and mechanical characteristics of soil samplers. Such a stand can also be used to study the working machines at other electrical units. These studies will be especially relevant for postgraduate students, teachers in Agroengineering, Electrical engineering, Electrical Equipment and Power Supply of the Agro-Industrial complex, since it is possible to test the designed units and compare calculated mechanical characteristics with the experimental ones at the stand designed.
