Simulation of TEC1-12706 for Use in In Vitro Studies of the Gastrointestinal Tract of Animals
In vitro modeling the gastrointestinal tract of animals is a complex task. Therefore, this article considers a part of the entire environmental parameter control system responsible for the temperature of the chyme in the bioreactor. The use of the thermoelectric converter TEC1-12706 is necessary because of the small working volumes of the bioreactor (from 50 to 200 ml) and because of the possibility of its operation for both heating and cooling, which is critically important for modeling a wide range of gastrointestinal tract of animals. For example, to simulate the digestive tract of a sterlet, the chyme temperature should be about 14°C, and for a chicken 42 °C. Thus, the mathematical model considered in this paper will allow us to create a thermodynamic model of the entire system with a bioreactor and evaluate the applicability of the TEC1-12706 converter for mini in vitro static systems. And in the future, this will allow us to develop a general model of a bioreactor to assess its thermodynamic characteristics, taking into account the dynamics of mixing, to describe mathematically chemical processes and the influence of temperature on them.
