A Dual-Band OAM Resonator Circular Array Antenna with High Gain
A dual-band resonator orbital angular momentum (OAM) array antenna is proposed in this study. A resonator antenna unit consisting of one patch with comb-like SSPP structure is first designed, and simulated. The proposed metallic resonator antenna achieves low loss compared to conventional dielectric resonator antenna, because most of fields concentrate in air rather than in dielectric. The proposed antenna array works at 2.6 GHz and 4.2 GHz respectively. Simulation results, including the E-field distribution in near field and radiation pattern in far field, validate that the proposed antenna array could generate vortex electromagnetic fields with mode 1 and generate high gain of 6 dB,10 dB at 2.6 GHz and 4.2 GHz respectively.
