RCS Frequency Extrapolation Based on two-dimensional GTD Model
The radar cross section (RCS) database needs to store a large number of measured or calculated RCS in different frequency bands. There are two methods to obtain RCS: theoretical calculation and actual measurement. It is very difficult to calculate the RCS of a complex target by theoretical analysis, while the actual measurement is often demanding on the test equipment and the workload is high. Therefore, the methods of RCS compression, interpolation and extrapolation appear to be of crucial importance. In this paper, we propose a method for extrapolation based on the 2D-GTD model. This method can extract the scattering center model parameters of complex scatterers, synthesize the frequency response of the target, and extend the echo data from a certain frequency band to other frequency bands. The extrapolation data were compared with the FEKO simulation data to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the extrapolation method. From the obtained results, the method can effectively synthesize the RCS of the target in different frequency bands.
