A Fast Prediction Approach of Target Partition Scattering Characteristics Based on the Integral Equation Method

To grasp the scattering characteristics of each subarea on the target, a fast prediction method for the scattering characteristics of the target subarea considering the fully electromagnetically coupled state on the basis of the integral equation method is proposed in this paper. The radar cross-section for a given frequency and observation direction is firstly solved by the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA). Then, the contribution of the scattering field is obtained by integrating the currents in each subarea. The physical concept of the method is clear and the computational cost is extremely low. the proposal is used to analyze the partition scattering characteristics for a typical target, and the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the methodology.
