Plane Spiral OAM Antenna Based on Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons
The paper proposes a new method for generating Plane Spiral Orbital Angular Momentum (PSOAM) based on Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons. Using the SSPP unit structure as a foundation, a leaky-wave antenna with fine wires placed on the backside is designed. Subsequently, the designed leaky-wave antenna is curved into a cylindrical shape and successfully radiates PSOAM beams. Near-field phase patterns illustrate corresponding PSOAM modes at different frequencies. The range of PSOAM modes spans from 2 to 4.
