Fast Pattern Synthesis of Time-Modulated Arrays for Radar Beamforming Using Artificial Neural Network
In this paper, a pattern synthesis method of the time-modulated array (TMA) for radar beamforming is established. The proposed method uses artificial neural networks to accelerate the optimization process. A numerical example for a 100×100-element TMA demonstrates that the method effectively suppresses sidelobe levels and reduces the sideband levels within the mainlobe. The synthesis process is completed within one minute.
