Efficiently Simulate Anisotropic Graphene and Plasma Based Structures by An Improved ADI-FDTD

The transmission properties of graphene-based structure with a plasma substrate are effectively simulated by the proposed improved alternating-direction-implicit finite-difference time-domain algorithm (ADI-FDTD). With two extra sub-time steps added, the developed method can precisely and efficiently simulate the anisotropic objects with fine structures. It is used to compute the transmission coefficient of an infinitely wide magnetized plasma slab. It is shown that the proposed method can maintain high accuracy by taking a large timestep. Further, the static electromagnetic field-biased graphene-plasma-based structures are studied. Numerical results show that the adjusted transmission characteristics can be investigated efficiently and effectively.
