Phase Reconfigurable Surface Designed for Microwave Imaging Based on Random Field irradiation
In recent years, the imaging technology based on compressed sensing has received widespread attention. The key of compressed sensing imaging is sparse sampling, which is inseparable from the construction of random radiation field. Random irradiated aperture antennas capable of constructing random radiation fields are particularly important. This paper revealed the theory and design of a phase reconfigurable surface, which enabled the continuously tunability of the transmission phase between 0° and 180°. The phase reconfigurable surface is comprising the periodic arrangement of identical phase reconfigurable units. By randomly modulating the transmission phase of each unit, an antenna array with a random radiation aperture can be realized. The proposed random beam aperture antenna array is expected to be used in fields of microwave imaging, beamforming and other electromagnetic wave transmission.
