Design of Four-Element Wide-Band MIMO Antenna
A design of four-element wide-band Multiple-input Multiple-output (MIMO) antenna is proposed. The antenna is designed from the basic monopole antenna. The bent feed line of the monopole antenna reduces the overall size of the antenna and the port isolation between different antenna elements is reduced by the defected ground structure. The simulations indicate that the working bandwidth of the MIMO antenna covers 4.5GHz - 7.5GHz, the reflection coefficient is less than 10dB, the coupling between different ports is less than 16dB, and the envelope correlation coefficient (ECC) is less than 0.02. The gain of the antenna is 4.4dBi at 4.5GHz, 4.8dBi at 6GHz, and 5.1dBi at 7.5GHz.
