A Gain Maintenance Scheme for Pulse Compression Device under Temperature Drift Conditions
This paper proposes an X-band high-power passive pulse compression device based on a spherical energy storage cavity. The pulse compression device mainly consists of a dual polarisation mode coupler and a spherical energy storage cavity. The device can convert a long-time low-amplitude pulse into a high-amplitude short-time pulse with a peak power gain of more than five times. However, the pulse compression device based on the spherical energy storage cavity is a point-frequency device, and the temperature dramatically affects its resonant frequency. By studying the effect of temperature change on the performance of the pulse compression device, a method of maintaining the gain of the pulse compression device under temperature change based on a temperature probe is proposed.
