Wide-Band Millimeter-Wave Orbital Angular Momentum Metasurface
This paper introduces a wideband millimeter-wave orbital angular momentum (OAM) metasurface. The principle of OAM electromagnetic beams with mode 1 is theoretically analyzed firstly. Next, a wideband magnetoelectric dipole unit integrated with phase delay lines is designed and the phase delay lines are utilized to realize the phase shift of 0°-360°, which it demonstrates good dispersion properties in the X-band range. With this wideband metasurface unit, a 16×16 metasurface that can effectively generate OAM beam is designed and simulated. The results show that the metasurface can achieve a relative bandwidth of 31.57% for OAM modes in the 8 to 11 GHz frequency range.
