Broadband Beam Scanning Array Antenna in 4G/5G/Wi-Fi Applications
The manuscript presents a Rotman lens as a beamforming network for feeding antenna arrays in applications such as satellite communication systems, collision avoidance radar, and ultra-wideband communication systems. The array port connects to the Vivaldi antenna via an SMA connector, forming an array antenna with beam-scanning capabilities. Experimental results show that the designed lens enables beam scanning with a width of ±30°, achieving a maximum antenna gain of 12 dBi. The design results correlate closely with the experimental data, validating the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
