Optimization of Single Reflector Compact Antenna Test Range With High Aperture Usage Based on Genetic Algorithm

In compact antenna test range (CATR), the aperture usage is one of our most concerned problems. The quiet zone (QZ) performance of a CATR is mainly determined by two aspects: feed system and edge diffraction [1]. We optimize both the feed and serrated edge of an offset-feed CATR and achieve higher aperture usage using a multi-parameter genetic algorithm in this paper.

Abstract

In compact antenna test range (CATR), the aperture usage is one of our most concerned problems. The quiet zone (QZ) performance of a CATR is mainly determined by two aspects: feed system and edge diffraction [1]. We optimize both the feed and serrated edge of an offset-feed CATR and achieve higher aperture usage using a multi-parameter genetic algorithm in this paper.
