Error Estimation and h-adaptive MoM for Modeling Metallic-dielectric Targets

We present a combined recovery error estimator for the composite metallic-dielectric structure using the RWG-based method of moments (MoM) in the electric field integral equation Poggio-Miller-Chang-Harrington-Wu-Tsai (EFIE-PMCHW) formulation. An h-adaptive scheme in conjunction with the recovery estimator is given to verify the effectiveness of the method. Results for a microstrip antenna show that the proposed method is flexible and efficient.

Abstract

We present a combined recovery error estimator for the composite metallic-dielectric structure using the RWG-based method of moments (MoM) in the electric field integral equation Poggio-Miller-Chang-Harrington-Wu-Tsai (EFIE-PMCHW) formulation. An h-adaptive scheme in conjunction with the recovery estimator is given to verify the effectiveness of the method. Results for a microstrip antenna show that the proposed method is flexible and efficient.
