Hybrid Method for EM Scattering from a Moving Ship on Dynamic Sea Surface
In this paper, the ray-transfer technique is combined with the hybrid semi-deterministic facet scattering model (SDFSM) and shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) method to calculate and study the composite electromagnetic scattering of a moving ship on dynamic sea surface. Firstly, the world coordinate system (WCS) of sea surface and the local coordinate system (LCS) of target are established. Then, the incident rays are converted between LCS and WCS based on the motion of ship. The scattering field of ship in LCS is calculated by SBR. The scattering field of sea surface in WCS is calculated by SDFSM. The coupling field is obtained by the four-path model. Finally, compared with the MLFMM method, the effectiveness of proposed method in calculating the composite scattering of a moving target on flat plate is verified. The composite scattering of a moving ship on sea surface is also calculated.
