A High-Gain Parasitic Microstrip Array With Customized Tilted Beam
A single-layer microstrip parasitic array with customizable tilted-beam radiation performance is proposed. The antenna consists of one driven patch and twenty parasitic patches and the tilt angle is designed using the index-modulation principle. The index-modulation principle is derived based on the index modulation principle. According to this principle, the size of the patch unit can be adjusted to control the refractive index and the tilt angle is determined by the refractive index distribution. This paper uses circular patch units to configure the tilted-beam antenna. Simulation results manifest that the antenna has a high gain radiation up to 11.54 dBi with large tilt angle of 60° off boresight and a bandwidth of 9.89%.
