Wideband Bandpass Filter Based on HMSIW and SSPP Structures with Controllable Notch Band
In this paper, a novel wideband bandpass filter (BPF) with a controllable notch band, utilizing a combination of half-mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) and spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPP) is proposed. The wideband BPF is designed using a triangular HMSIW structure integrated with an SSPP structure. To introduce a notch, a U-shaped ring resonator is embedded in the metal layer. The center frequency of the notch band can be controlled by varying the length of the U-shaped ring resonator. Simulation results indicate that the frequency range of the passband is from 4.53 GHz to 9.27 GHz, and the notch band are operated at 7.85-8.54 GHz, with a return loss of less than -10 dB.
