Fast frequency sweep technique based on subdomain method of moments and adaptive MBPE for Wideband RCS of multi-scale targets

In this paper, we propose a new approach of adaptive rational interpolation based on the subdomain method of moments (SMoM) and Model-Based Parameter Estimation (MBPE) to overcome the difficulties of low accuracy and inefficiency when analyzing the wideband radar scattering cross section (RCS) of multi-scale targets by traditional methods. This approach utilizes the SMoM to overcome the problem of low matrix convergence since the multi-scale target leads to the non-uniform meshes, while the adaptive rational interpolation MBPE is used to achieve accurate and efficient analysis for the wideband RCS of multi-scale targets without a priori knowledge. The numerical example verifies the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed method in this paper.
