A Transparent Decoupling Surface (TDS) For Multi-Band Antenna Array
In this paper, a novel transparent decoupling surface (TDS) is proposed based on band-stop frequency selective surface(FSS). The TDS can function as a traditional decoupling surface in low band (0.79-0.96GHz), and exhibits transparency in high band (2.3-2.7GHz) simultaneously. First, a miniaturized FSS is proposed through fractal branch design. It is found the FSS exhibit two passbands with little transmission loss, little transmission phase shift is observed in higher passband, too. The proposed TDS is validated on LB and HB antennas, respectively. The simulated results prove its ability of decoupling in low band and transparency in high band. The results indicate that the proposed decoupling surface has good potential for multi-band array. This design extends the scope of decoupling surface by making it applicable to multi-band antenna systems.
