A Compact Planar Van Atta Array with a Crossover

This paper introduces a novel approach to implementing a compact planar retrodirective array(RDA). By adopting a crossover structure, the feeding network of the RDA can be significantly simplified. The developed array operates at 10 GHz, and exhibits a 3dB beamwidth of 94.93° in the E-plane and 81.67° in the H-plane, demonstrating robust retrodirective performance.
