S-band Circularly Polarized Conformal Antenna Based on Sequential Phase Structure
In this paper, a circularly polarized (CP) antenna operating in the S-band that can be used for conformal is presented. The antenna introduces two sets of parasitic patches, both of which are arranged in a sequential rotational manner around a kind of annular patch that provides a 90° phase difference. It is experimentally verified that the antenna also has the ability to be co-formable. Experimental results show that the antenna achieves an impedance bandwidth of 8.61% in the range of 3.56-3.87 GHz. In addition, the antenna achieves a radiation efficiency of 95.8%.
