Investigation of A Wearable RF Energy-Localized Harvester for On-Body Performance

This paper presents a wearable radio-frequency (RF) energy-localized harvester utilizing spoof surface plasmon (SSP) technology, designed for on-body performance testing. To accommodate various wearing needs and body postures, we simulate the human body in different positions and optimize the harvester’s structure based on the simulation results. The study compares scenarios where the loops are placed at the center versus the edges of the structure, and at the front versus the back of the body. Additionally, we examine the impact of placing the structure on the body at different angles. The harvester’s stable frequency and high gain over a wide bandwidth make it suitable for a broad range of wireless systems and adaptable to numerous body positions and postures.
