A Dual-Circularly Polarized Reflectarray With Independent Beam Control For Each Polarization
This paper proposes a dual-circularly polarized reflectarray unit cell composed of a linear-to-circular polarization conversion unit and a dual linear polarized reflective unit, which can independently adjust the phase shift of each circularly polarized incident wave. According to this unit, a dual-circularly polarized reflectarray is designed to produce left- and right-handed circularly polarized radiation beams directed to (-5°,0) and (5°,0) with peak gains of 25.76 dBi and 25.50 dBi at 21 GHz, respectively. The 2.5 dB axial ratio bandwidth of the reflected left- and right-handed circularly polarized beams is 17.31% (19 - 22.6 GHz) and 15.31% (19.3 - 22.5 GHz), respectively.
