Study on Composite Electromagnetic Scattering of a Ship in Land-Sea Junction Background

In this paper, the electromagnetic scattering of a PEC ship target in land-sea junction area with a curved coastline is calculated using the shooting and bouncing ray method combined with the physical theory of diffraction (SBR-PTD). The land-sea composite surface with a curved coastline and dielectric constant information is established based on the hierarchical matching method proposed in this work. The basic theory of SBR-PTD is expounded and then the monostatic radar cross sections (RCSs) of the established land-sea junction background composite the ship model is simulated. The data comprehensively demonstrate the coupling effect between the ship model and the land-sea junction background, providing theoretical support for radar scattering research in coastal areas.
