Broadband RCS Reduction Based on Coding Metasurface with Independent Control of Amplitude and Phase
In this paper, a coding metasurface with independent control of amplitude and phase is developed for broadband radar cross section (RCS) Reduction. First, we designed a metasurface unit consisting of a modified concentric circular ring and a square ring resonator. The reflection phase and amplitude are determined by the size of the circular ring and the loading resistance value, respectively. Furthermore, designed coding metasurface can manipulate electromagnetic (EM) waves by encoding "0" and "1" elements. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed coding metasurface can achieve effective RCS reduction in the frequency range of 4GHz- 22GHz, and the reduction value depends on the value of loading resistance.
