A Decoupling Structure of Ultra-wideband based on Planar Spiral Antenna Array
In this paper, a high-isolation ultra-wideband (UWB) circularly polarized (CP) dual-element antenna array is introduced in this article. Firstly, a square planar spiral antenna that has stable gain, axial ratio (AR) < 3 dB and VSWR < 2 over 4 – 10 GHz is proposed, secondly, a "glasses"-shaped frequency selective surface (FSS) is proposed to analyze the reflection & transmission of its unit and eliminate the spatial-wave coupling. The periodic isolation network can effectively improve the isolation level of 4 – 10 GHz up to 13.5 dBi, with little impact on antenna's pattern and gain.
