Research on 3D Imaging Technology for Bridge Structures

This study addresses the challenges of detecting internal defects in reinforced concrete highway bridges by developing a visual 3D imaging algorithm using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) technology. The proposed system employs a multi-transmit, multi-receive array antenna and advanced data processing techniques to enhance detection accuracy and efficiency. Experiments demonstrate that this approach provides clear 3D visualizations of rebar and internal defects, significantly improving bridge inspection and maintenance processes. This technology reduces reliance on operator expertise and has broad potential applications in various reinforced concrete structures.
