Tri-band Patch Antenna with Differential Feeding
In this paper, a differential-fed tri-band microstrip patch antenna with unidirectional radiation pattern is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of three patches, a metal strip, and four ground walls. Based on the traditional patch antenna, a pair of metal parasitic patches is added next to the middle patch antenna to excite three frequency bands and realize independent tuning of three frequency bands. The results show that the proposed antenna owns three operating bandwidths of 2.41-2.46 GHz (0.05 GHz, 2.1%), 3.48-3.54 GHz (0.06 GHz, 1.7%) and 4.61-6.06 GHz (1.45 GHz, 27.2%).
